Alpha Omega Epsilon is a sorority dedicated to women in engineering and technical sciences. The sorority was founded on November 13, 1983 on the campus of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Although the group is relatively young, it already has 48 active chapters as the idea of uniting female engineers and technical scientists quickly spread across college campuses. The group enjoys a working relationship with the male counterpart, Sigma Phi Delta.
