Lambda Phi Epsilon is an Asian-American interest fraternity that was founded on February 25, 1981 at UCLA. The goal of the group is to promote leadership amongst members and provide opportunities for networking, growth and professional development. The History of Lambda Phi Epsilon

Lambda Phi Epsilon was founded on the campus of University of California - Los Angeles in 1981. While it’s a relatively new fraternity, its primary vision is to become the preeminent Asian interest fraternal organization in the world. Its goal is to provide leadership to its members, and develop a culture of philanthropy and advocacy in the communities within which it functions. Its motto is currently “leaders among men.”

Lambda Phi Epsilon’s official philanthropy is the National Marrow Donation Program, which raises awareness for bone marrow drives and helps to collect bone marrow for people suffering from leukemia or blood disorders.

Notable alumni of Lambda Phi Epsilon include Yul Kwon, winner of Survivor: Cook Islands and the former deputy chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s COnsumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau, and Paul Qui, winner of 2012’s Top Chef, and recipient of the 2013 Young Chef of the Year Award.
